BankSoft Banking Application Software Ltd. has been started on the 1st of april in 1989 with 10 million HUF capital. The foundation of the company is strongly related to the modernization of the hungarian banksystem, that started in 1987. The founders intended to capitalize the expert knowledge and experience of the colleagues in this financial transition process.

Softwares developed and distributed by BankSoft are in use in many financial corporations. The practice of the company covers the whole country.
BankSoft's most important partner is Wolters Kluwer Financial Services' FRSGlobal company. In Hungary BankSoft is the distributor and the local developer of FRSGlobal's software solution.
In 2008 BankSoft has been acquired by FreeSoft and became member of the FreeSoft company group.
BankSoft is one of the founders of the Hungarian Association of IT Companies, and member of John von Neumann Computer Society.
